In response to spectacular sales on the third chapter of "The Other" storyline running through many of its Spider-Man titles, Marvel Comics has announced Amazing Spider-Man #525 Second Printing Variant!
Written by superstar Peter David and sporting a dynamic "Ben Reilly" variant cover by Mike Wieringo, this edition is expected to ship to stores November 30.
This 12-part story has already shaken Spidey's world to the core, as Peter Parker is pushed to the edge -- and beyond. Beginning in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (FNSM) #1 and crossing over to Marvel Knights Spider-Man #19, the first story arc is written entirely by David. The torch passes in November to Reginald Hudlin for the next three parts, starting with FNSM #2, and then J. Michael Straczynski takes the reins in December for the following three issues. Each writer returns to his respective title for the big finale in January.
Spinning out of events and featuring characters created by Straczynski in stories reprinted in the Amazing Spider-Man: Coming Home TP, Marvel's web-slinger must face the one villain he's never been able to defeat, leading up to the fight of his life against Morlun. Spider-Man fans have been anticipating this earth-shattering series that David promises has "incredible personal resonance" for Peter Parker.
The 32-page Amazing Spider-Man #525 Second Printing edition is sure to appeal to Spidey fans and collectors of variant covers.
